Matthew founded Talon in January 2016 on the belief that traditional agency staffing models are antiquated, in-house recruitment resources are often overloaded or undertrained, and that on-demand RPO’s present a more attractive, professional, and cost-effective way to acquire the talent required for organizations to stay competitive and remain cutting edge.
Michelle is a dedicated human resource professional with an extensive business, recruiting, talent outsourcing and sales/marketing background. Prior to Talon, Michelle was a District Manager for Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 multi-billion dollar publicly traded global staffing firm. At Kelly, Michelle managed roughly two hundred and fifty employees and temporary hires throughout greater New England.
As a Sr. Account Manager and Sourcing Specialist, Shane is a problem solver and likely to be your first point of contact with the Talon organization. Prior to Talon, Shane spent the last 7 years as a Director of Recruitment with PeopleServe, and prior to that has another 13 years of recruitment, operations and business development experience, 5 of which was spent as a Regional Director for Manpower.
Samantha leads Talon’s healthcare recruitment practice and recently picked up the company’s highly coveted recruiter of the year award. She has spent nearly all of 2017 supporting the company’s largest healthcare recruitment assignment to date; 150+ placements across a multitude of departments for the University of Vermont Medical Center. Samantha put forth a compelling performance and delivered our client a record-low cost-per-hire. Talon’s healthcare team is growing and Samantha will play a key role in its development.
Nancy has delivered exceptional results on Talon's managerial and executive level searches. She has 16 years of consulting experience in the specialty of workforce development for the State of Vermont, 15 years of experience as the Executive Director of the Rutland Region Workforce Development Board, and 17 years of experience as the Director of Workforce Development and Executive Training for GTE Corporation (Fortune 25). She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Governors’ Institute of Vermont and Vermont Adult Learning.
Katie is a high-energy recruiter who has been held in high-regard in all of her positions. When Katie heard about Talon’s model, she was immediately energized and passionate about the process; having been an internal recruiter for years she understood the benefits of having dedicated time devoted to each search and how that will yield results. Katie joined the team in January 2017 and has since provided recruitment support to Talon RPO’s construction, manufacturing and healthcare clients.
Erika started as a Recruitment Associate with Talon in late 2017 and is off to a tremendous start. She's been cranking out placements, streamlining processes, and has otherwise quickly established herself as a rising star on the team. She is a strong and effective communicator, a team player, and shows strong leadership potential. In March 2018 she was promoted to a Relationship Manager and Sourcing Specialist.
